Kari Marjanen Photography

I do not know - and I cannot explain why pictures, and especially photographs have always mesmerized me. As a kid I saved from my pocket money to buy myself a camera I was so happy when I got it and I used it to learn photography.

After a long and eventful break, I got a serious and terminal kick back into the magic world of photography in the beginning of the 21'st century. Subsequently, I started publishing my work, and on the 9th of March, 2004, I opened the site projekteja.com

The ongoing global change is most extreme in the Southeast Asian countries. The disappearence of tradional ways of life and old means of survival pushed me into creating these series of photographs from Southeast Asia.
